Zagorath@aussie.zone 10 months agoNot an especially helpful answer because the point is the way that their existence makes Lemmy in general and aussie.zone in particular a much worse experience for newcomers that demonstrably drives away people from joining. Putting it down to pErsOnAL rESponsiBILity never works to solve a problem.

Go to any space outside of Lemmy where people who tried it out but didn’t stick around are discussing it. The tankies always come up. And worse: they often don’t even realise it is tankies, but conflate it with leftism in general.
