  It is not by and for communists. Just because the main dev of a project adheres to a certain ideology it doesn’t mean everyone adheres to that ideology. In fact the communist section of lemmy is pretty much defederated from the rest

      It doesn’t matter what it was created for, it matters what it is now. You can’t say that marxists are even close to being the majority of users.

      A huge portion of the community also blocks the two tankie instances on their own account, it’s just that world did it because it’s one of the bigger instances and wanted to keep a good image of the platform
