JustAnotherKay@lemmy.world 1 week agoNot just resumes either. I went through 2 interviews for a company, and then was suddenly ghosted after they’d collected the data they needed. They reached out to me, offering a position and when I told them how much I wanted for it (I didn’t realize I’d told them less than they had it listed for, since I hadn’t seen their job openings before being reached out to) they ghosted me and updated their job posting to match my desired pay

Similar thing happened to me. Got interviewed, told them my salary expectation, they turned me down and immediately published a new upper bound for the job’s salary, which just happens to be exactly 1000 € less per year than what I asked for. I lost track, but I know they kept looking for applicants for at least several weeks longer.

1000 is a bargain, I asked for $10.4k less than what they were offering and they ran with it
