Comment on Image uploads are now disabled on lemm.ee due to malicious users
AeroLemming@lemm.ee 1 year agoI don’t know what the Hexbears would have to gain from attacking lemm.ee. It’s one of the mainstream instances that hasn’t defederated from Hexbear, so there also wouldn’t be anything to retaliate against unless I’m missing some news.

Don’t try to understand an army of trolls. Part of the job is destroying itself

While we might seem annoying, I don’t think a community that consistently uses content warnings for text posts is the right place to look if you’re trying to find the kinds of people who would post that kind of imagery en masse.

been using it since chapo dot chat and I haven’t felt as nuts since using reddit years ago, as I have since federation was implemented
it isnt even like they have to visit a whole ass other site, it just shows up inline with everything else

Every time I see a lemmeee.eeeee thread I feel gross and no amount of scrubbing my skin off in the shower seems to help
It’s gotten so bad I even reply here it’s awful

We’ve literally had people get site wide bans for failing to CW non vegan food before, the idea of anyone here posting CP to “own the libs” or something is so alien to the site culture and so fucking awful that the ideas completely out of question
Especially when there are actual Lemmy instances federated with lemm.ee that are /pol/ adjacent where they do actually have a site culture of posting disgusting stuff like that

So someone takes the time to write out a civil and thought out response, and this is how you choose to react? pathetic
