spiffy_spaceman@lemmy.world 1 year agoI’ve heard an old man use it this way a long time ago in the west. You would only hear it from someone who’s very old or thinks they’re a polite cowboy.

Southerners use it in a very endearing way that is hard to describe. Only ever in a funny and harmless way, to my knowledge
