Comment on /Politics starts banning any mention of the Democrats complicity in the Genocide in Gaza
lengau@midwest.social 2 months agoDude. You do know that people can click on your account to fact check this, right?
Speaking of which… You never did respond to my comment where I laid out why your “vote third party” suggestion would, if implemented en masse, get Trump elected (which would be worse for Palestinians). Was it because I mentioned your probably UTC+3 time zone?

They can indeed. They should try doing so.

Are you sure you actually want that? It’ll pretty quickly become clear to them that someone who appears to be in a time zone pretty distant from the US is following the tactics of the alt-right playbook pretty much to the letter while using the genocide in Palestine to argue for internal US political actions that would result in a fascist being elected and making said genocide worse (not to mention likely starting up one or more genocides of their own).

The response from him below is so fucking typical. Accuses everyone of being a lying Zionist and doesn’t address what they’ve said. It’s like they think we’re completely fucking blind to what they’re doing.

Funnily enough, I’ve done pretty much that and simply got silence in response after several days of waking up to responses from them that were sent a few minutes after 09:00 UTC+3.
They love to call people genocide enablers, etc. (which I believe to be in conflict with lemmy.world’s sitewide terms of service), but you’re right - they dodge the question when people point out that they’re advocating policies that harm the very population they claim to want to protect.

Yes they should try doing so since you’re just making things up. In fact can you respond to the post above.

In the comment above, we see attempts to:
all straight out of the alt-right playbook.
They also accuse me of making things up despite plenty of examples of their doing exactly what I’m pointing out.
Their actions match strongly with those of a bad faith contributor who focuses on a single topic (the genocide in Palestine) on one particular side (anti-genocide) whilst advocating for actions that many (including myself) have pointed out would, in fact, lead to the opposite result. When others point this out, what they get in return isn’t a nuanced discussion of these concerns, but rather personal attacks that I believe qualify as repeated violations of rule 1.1 of lemmy.world.
