      Dang, I have not studied the activity_pub code of lemmy yet. I've been meaning to learn how all that works. I'll be able to help out once I got a handle on it.

      I understand the api/diesel/actix all pretty good though.

        Looks like it's a similar issue to https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/2106

        lotide sends posts from communities as links, but Lemmy assumes they will be whole objects

        Though even if that's fixed it might still not work, since Lemmy also assumes the announced object will be an activity rather than the object itself

    I think we ran the tests, lotide link posts work, but text posts don't, and image posts don't. That's why every post I put up has a link.

      Text posts should be working in the current version of Lemmy, but yes that used to be the case
