Comment on What show took you the longest to get into?
1bluepixel@lemmy.world 10 months agoI don’t blame you. 😁 For me, the turning point was in the very last episodes of season one. Stuff happens that really breaks expectations and sends the story in a more interesting direction. I also remember season 2 being vastly superior.
If you made it through season 2 and didn’t like it, the show might not be for you! But if you’re stuck somewhere in season 1, it’s definitely worth powering through that.

My husbandand I are stuck on season 1. I can't believe I'm going to try again, lol, but this thread is persuasive. Im going.to have to read some summaries.of the episodes we've watched to remember where we are.in the story.. Third times the charm they say.

I love this. I’ve rewatched Succession more than any other show at this point. Although it’s fun to go back to the beginning and see where each of the characters started, I admit the first few eps of the show can feel slow. But god DAMN the way the characters and relationships are written is so sharp.
