True, but even more, I don't think their systems have changed except to add a consumer layer. They're still Communism at their core, run by Asiatic tyrants who are equal parts ambitious and incompetent.

Ethnically Chinese often get approved citizenship. Lots of mixed race Chinese people live in china. If born to a Chinese parent in china the child will be Chinese.
Occasionally a rich business man gets a greencard. Not English teachers.

China also has ethnic Russians. And their Muslims often look pretty white.
They technically have like 50 something ethnicities.
I think its likely they will take in more immigrants when their older population start to die off.
Its a population cliff. Everyone's mom and dad had 5 or 6 brothers but nobody has any brothers or sisters born since the 80's. Mostly .

Ironically, I think that the population cliff is painful in the short term but positive for individuals in the long term. The people in power freaking out over it are people who want life to be worthless. Historically speaking, times that the population contracted have been times of unprecedented individual rights and workers improving their lot.

When there are not unlimited workers, it is easier to get a job.
However, that means incompetents rise because there is no one to displace them.

I mean I don't think the 20 years of forced abortions, women feeling like they needed to abort female babies since they only had one chance at having a boy was worth it.
If they can replace the contracting population with another third world population they won't get any rights either.
