Ticktok@lemmy.one 1 year agoautomatic response, same as when someone says “how’s it going” to a cashier, and the person responds “good”. this interaction rarely means anything other than formality. The person asking doesn’t usually want to know, and the person responding doesn’t usually want to tell

I see. So it still means the same but is just not authentically expressed? I guess I have never been to a place where these words are always expressed with a deep feeling.
