alcoholicorn@lemmy.ml 2 months agoThe SCOTUS has no means to enforce its decisions. It knows this and has historically kowtowed to the executive when faced with its own marginalization.

That’s true they don’t directly enforce unless the case is being heard in their court. In the case of the immunity ruling, it’s up to the judge to determine if the criminal act is considered “official” or not.
Biden has no say if Cannon decides that Trump’s document move was an “official act.”
