DarkWasp@lemmy.world 10 months agoThis simply isn’t true, they’re extremely effective at preventing serious illness and death. Variants came along that stressed them but the main purpose of those two things has stood firm.

But underwhelming at preventing infection and spread, particularly for newer variants.
Which is why further R&D needs to continue. And people still need to mask up if they want to avoid contributing to contagion.
