Heading to interview now. Still havenât heard back from the other place. I find it easier emotionally to assume the worst instead of living in a state of nervous anxiety.
Did get another 2 calls this morning for other places so thatâs cool!
Enjoy your day guys â¤ď¸

Simon says hire me lol

Thatâs the way to do it. I just apply and move on, it probably looks bad when I do get a call because I canât remember the place or the position because it was all so long ago in jobseeker time

Exactly. Sometimes I find myself getting a bit carried away thinking about a particular role, or beating myself up over something I may have messed up in the interview.
Pessimism works well for job hunting

Sometimes you see a nice job and start imagining your life if you got it. I saw a nice communications job that could be based in the Morewell/Moe area. It would be nice to live in a small town with no commute and a cushy corporate job, but you canât get too carried away with these things.
Iâve been fucked over by the job hunt in almost every way imaginable so I donât believe I have a job until I receive the first paycheck

Thatâs the trap I fall into. Start daydreaming about what itâll be like, what the co-workers will be like, what Iâll spend my first paycheck on etc etc
Iâve had 2 contracts withdrawn after my police check came back with a shoplifting fine from 9 years ago. Literally had the job, but apparently making a mistake while really fucked up is enough to scare clients.
That really hurt.
