They’re literally facilitating the sharing of torrents. That’s not “just talking about copyright infringement” that’s the facilitation of it.

Also, you’re on the internet, which isn’t beholden solely to US copyright laws, so unless you’re a lawyer who specializes in international copyright law, I doubt you can speak with any certainty to the legality of post content in every jurisdiction across the globe.
Here’s an idea: if you don’t want to see that content, block the community.

It’s illegal in the US and either way it’s against lemmy.world’s server rules, specifically rule 1
No illegal content, including sharing copyrighted material without the explicit permission of the owner(s).
