And just as you sent this reply I figured out how to take the bloody things out, just needed a suction cup thingy for grip.

What do you mean by grip? If itâs not pulling out then itâs probably a screw in fitting.

The bulb mounts flush to the housing, there is nowhere to grip in order to turn the bulb, even from the inside of the rangehood. But I was able to get a feel with a small suction cup in the end.
