  I know, my phone has this feature and I think it’s pointless. Why do I need my screen to be on if I’m not using my phone?

    1. it makes it easier to find the fingerprint sensor (although there’s an option to show only the sensor without all the other stuff)
    2. allows quickly checking time and battery levels by just glancing at the phone and provides a superior alternative to notification led, you actually see which apps sent you notifications specifically.
