ParabolicMotion@lemmy.world 2 months agoIf we get a covered box, the entrance will probably be too high, again. My elderly, female cat has trouble getting into it. She will start pooping on the floor.
Just FYI, it was a “large litter box” as the sticker says on the side. Maybe I should look into a small, plastic, kiddie pool and fill it with litter instead.

Poor sweetie is doing the best she can, pooping in the box and THOROUGHLY burying it! My old cat did that until the day she died. But our present cat is unclear on the concept; she scratches at the plastic edge and in the air, then walks away with the poop still proudly and aromatically perched atop the undisturbed litter. It’s a tradeoff.
