I saw that one on Netflix/not live. It’s a bit of a deviation from the other shows I’ve seen. Still had nuggets of fun in it - but yeah, the ending overshadows everything else and is what stays with you.
To be honest, I don’t know that I’d have gone to another show if Nanette was the one that I went to. So, I can surely understand your hesitation.

I saw Douglas afterwards on Netflix and loved it. Loved Nanette too…live it left me in tears (literally) as well as laughing. I really wanted to get to this one but had important work meeting that ran over … These things happen and I am ok with it.
