You can sell your car and buy a different one instead if you have enough money to pay the extra on top of the trade-in and if you don’t mind being needlessly wasteful because you hate the president of the company you bought the car from when you didn’t hate him yet.
They could sell the car and buy a different one if they really cared.
There are plenty of EVs available these days, including some that are just as fast and/or luxurious as a Tesla.
This is like driving a massive V8 truck with a “climate change is real” bumper sticker if you ask me. And I bet you’d have no problem seeing the irony then, would you.

Not everyone can afford to do that. And the cost isn’t the only consideration. Availability of comparable charging stations, comparable range/cost, and an number of other factors come into play that you keep ignoring. It’s just not that simple for most people.

You can participate in society just fine without buying a car from Elon. There are plenty of alternatives, including fully electric ones, available.

But you can’t go back in time and unbuy one from a time before you knew how horrible Elon was.

Perhaps not, but believe it or not, you CAN sell your car and buy a different one instead. If you actually hate him that badly, that is.

Why would any rational person do such a thing?

And a person who already owns a Tesla can then discover that Elon is crazy, hence the bumper sticker.

It’s nothing like that at all
