Oh is it? It couldn’t just be a joke. Or hear me out and opinion. And o-pin-yun is this fancy way of signaling to others your virtues. It’s a new technology I believe developed by the Romans that can be found on many media formats.
That’s basically what virtue signaling is, isn’t it? A loosely held opinion that X is good or Y is bad without any firm conviction behind it. Like, “I’m against ethnic cleansing in Palestine but I’m not gonna boycott Israel because that could be considered antisemitic” or somesuch.
It’s basically trying to have your cake while eating it, too, like this guy, driving his Tesla while telling people he actually hates what it (or rather, Elon) stands for.

You can participate in society just fine without buying a car from Elon. There are plenty of alternatives, including fully electric ones, available.
