Comment on Why do Americans measure everything in cups?
i_am_not_a_robot@feddit.uk 2 months agoNot quite the same as Stones and Kilogrammes are both units of weight. Using cups is like weighing somebody using those luggage size baskets in the airport.

They are now. Not when people were going out west on wagons. As stated above, it’s because of historical reasons.
