I’ve always felt a little out of the loop about that community too. My best guess is maybe it’s just for people who want to make memes about tanks and stuff, while staying detached from the actual politics of whatever situation they’re meme’ing about.

It’s kind of a shitposting community for people who are interested in history and war, they’re a alright group of people tho (there are way worse communities on here) and most they’re stuff makes me laugh.
They’re just history needs having fun.

It’s difficult to explain really, you either get it or you don’t, but it’s about defense themed shitposting and nutty ideas for weapons and defense strategies.
The community, and the subreddit it branched off from, is very pro Ukraine, pro NATO though.
