That’s what you get for using Facebook. All of those people could change too, but they won’t until you leave and they are forced to get ahold of you with other methods. Everyone who uses this shitty excuse “but other people!” are the reason they haven’t crashed and burned already.

Exactly how would you advise my keeping in touch with someone autistic who has very specific ways they want to communicate? Or should I just never talk to my brother again?

I mean, if they can operate facebook without an issue, they can operate whatsapp, signal, and others. You’re not the only one with autistic family, and we managed to migrate from facebook just fine.
