Although, past couple years, I only do IMAX and the biggest screen is in Providence.

Maybe I’m spoiled cuz I only see movies at Alamo Drafthouse and they don’t allow for these types of shenanigans.

I hadn’t been to the cinema since before Covid and these behaviours were already happening then. When my old man wanted to see Oppenheimer, I said let’s do it right at the IMAX. You pay more but everyone there is invested and focused due to that. Not one phone, conversation, inappropriate children, etc to be seen.

I wish every major city had one, or even if other theaters that try to be classy adopted their policies. Alamo is head and shoulders above any movie theater competition in my opinion, even before taking into account the meal service.
