Yeah it’s a shame because Prometheus and Covenant were brilliant.
Every other director’s take on this franchise seems to miss the point. It’s not an action horror franchise, it’s more a suspense psychological thriller.

Trailer looks derivative. Hopefully there’s a plot other than “ship gets infected, woman kicks alien ass.” Otherwise this franchise will become just another Friday the 13th.
Looking forward to seeing how the planned TV show turns out. Hopefully there’s more universe building there.

I did not enjoy Prometheus. Within minutes of arriving on an alien world the cartographer gets lost and the xenobiologist touches the forest thing he sees.

Yeah the plot turns in Prometheus are about as dumb as running in the same direction something is falling instead of just stepping to the left or right.

The series is by Noah Hawley (Legion, Fargo), so I have high hopes for that one.

To this day I’ve never watched a show that was as big of a mind fuck as Legion.
