I would appreciate it if you kept it civil. If you don’t wish to contribute, then please, don’t.
I stand by every word. I just don’t think I’m going to convince any conservative morons. Furthermore, I don’t want to contribute to the growth of this very very sad community. It’s embarrassing how poorly the posts do.

But I do wish to contribute. :)

How is it that calling somebody a coward is considered civil, but calling a group a bunch of morons not?

I find I tend to give more leeway to those who have posted here before in good faith. Eli fits that bill, as does you. I don’t think Derek has ever posted here before (correct me if I’m wrong), and his first comment (that he didn’t delete) was calling us morons.
You know how you said you were interested in how this community would develop? Well, I think I’ve started learning how to be a decent mod. I’ve learned from users like TJD and Karo. If they start out being uncivil, they’ll probably continue being uncivil.

Selectively applying the rules is a recipe for disaster.

The posts “do poorly” because brigadiers are mass downvoting them.

Maybe the brigaders vote this way because they think the posts aren’t welcome here. You should not tolerate the intolerance, after all.
I’m quite glad to see it.

Differing opinions are valued here. Trolls are not.
If someone is acting in good faith, I look forward to the conversation. They might be surprised how much we agree on.

Exactly the same thought. No notes. If this community is civil, posts will do well.
