I do not see any universe where this doesnt end in legal action. I would imagine the people behind this aren’t from a country where copyright law is enforced, because this is monumentally stupid if they are.

How are they violating copyright law? You have to provide the game files yourself, and it’s a freely available game.

I am fairly certain this would be considered a derivative work because it relies on the base content of Daggerfall to function. That or because the court may determine that a reasonable person may conclude that it is officially connected or sanctioned by Bethesda. Though I am not a lawyer or IP law expert, so it is possible I may be wrong.
