There’s value in working a job and realizing it is not what you want to do as well. I did that for 10 years before I realized that I want to do something else instead and that I didn’t like having a boss either.

Likewise, it’s possible to change careers 10 years in. I was laid off earlier this year and don’t really feel like going back.
