The complete ineptness of people on late night infomercials never fails to amuse. Aparently pouring the contents of a saucepan into a strainer is a nearly impossible task, destined to end in failure.

The thing ro remember is that theyâre selling accessibility aids.
Itâs stuff meant for people like me, except it has to be marketed to people like you or it will never turn a profit.

That is sometimes true, but I think in this case it was just a gimicky saucepan set. Like many of these ads the âsolutionâ they are showing to the problem doesnât actually work any better. In this case they âsolvedâ having to hold a strainer and a saucepan at the same time by having a built in strainer that pivots as you pour the contents out. But with handles on both sides of the pot it makes it hard to actually hold and tip a large pan whilst holding it up. A freestanding collander in the sink and resting the pan on the side of the sink while you tip the first of the contents out and lighten the load seems a much safer/easie option to me. Or if it was set up like my mumâs tipping kettle that has a stand so you donât have to hold the weight in your hands.
