brsrklf@jlai.lu 13 hours agoThere is some level of region-locking exclusively for Japanese switch 2s. I don’t know if this one is, but they really should make sure before they get one.
Basically, the most common Switch 2 model in Japan is cheaper but it only accepts Japanese Nintendo accounts and it only supports the Japanese language.

Though if the game supports language switching inside the game options then you can play the game in any language even on the Japanese only Switch 2. But many Nintendo games do not expose language options inside the game.

Oh yeah, makes sense that this would work.
Though as you said many games just use the system language and don’t feature an option to change it.
