scrodumb@lemmy.ca 1 day agoI cannot enjoy rye whiskey at all. I’ll tolerate scotch or Irish but I’m a bourbon man through and through. I have an unopened bottle of pre-Trump Woodford waiting for that glorious day.

Why would you drink different whisky while backpacking?
Originally it’s because the brand name kinda aligned with the activity (Bulleit Frontier). I was wanting to try a new whiskey, so it made sense.
Then it just became what I grabbed before a trip because it was familiar and tasty.
It’s also partly because I can drink Bourbon like water, but rye and scotch not so much.
Nectar of the gods right there.
