I am never buying LED lights from normal retail channels ever again. I effectively got 8 bulbs for $1.09ea (with coupons) on AliExpress. They have a perfect 3000K warm white colour and I tailored the brightness to the application – 3W bulbs for the range hood, 5W bulbs for ceiling down lights. You can pick from 4 different brightnesses, three different colour temperatures, 38 or 120 degree beam angle, and whether they are dimmable. Try doing that with Australian stock. Impossible. The main differences are no retail packaging, and they don’t come in an 60 degree beam angle which seems to be the standard in Australia. I can’t tell a difference between 60 and 38 though. The 6 pack I bought from Bunnings for $19.50 have a disgusting pink hue to them and are too bright. Absolute crap.
