I have yet to encounter a gas station pump that displays ads that hasn’t been wholly vandalized to the point of non-functionality. I think I’d have to find a gas station being built the day they install the pumps to actually be the first one to see them working. And then break them myself.

There are a couple of American Express cards that give you 3% cash back on Gas (including one with a low annual fee, that also gives 6% back on groceries up to the first $6000 spent per year).

That helps.

There’s a gas station chain near me that doesn’t play ads, usually has the best prices, and gives 10c off per gallon if you use their app linked to a checking account…that helps, too.

I miss the days when that was the better deal…

    Well, I don’t want to see vandalism. I don’t want to see ads, either, but you’ve got to buy where the sales are these days. I’m sure not rich enough to be choosey.
