turbowafflz@lemmy.world 1 day agoI know in north america, the corrector on a fast charger physically won’t plug into a car that can’t fast charge since it has extra pins. maybe it’s something like that?

I’m really not familiar with the technology but can the cars and chargers not negotiate power delivery? This is a solved problem in the USB-C world and I can’t imagine that these chargers aren’t smart enough to do this.

Yes. All cars able to DC charge have CCS2 connectors.
