There’s all kinds of randomizers. There’s ones called “no logic” where anything can be placed anywhere and it can be unbeatable if you don’t know the ins-and-outs of all kinds of glitches and bypasses. On the flip side, there are beginner friendly randomizers that keep items “in logic,” wherein items can never be placed behind a check you cannot pass (e.g., the hookshot will never be in a place you need the hookshot to get to).

spicytuna62@lemmy.world 5 days agoI’ve seen some YouTubers like Linkus and PointCrow do randomizers before, and I’ve genuinely considered it a number of times. There are some of the glitches I’m having trouble nailing. Like the hook shot jump off Dampe’s hut to access Shadow Temple early.
But I don’t think I ever considered that there would be difficulty levels on these lol I never tried one because I didn’t want to get super far into a run and lose it to a glitch that I just don’t have the time to master. But knowing that there can be easier rolls set up makes me a bit more comfortable with the idea.
