Capitalism definitely requires property rights in order to function, but even without any government (anarchy) capitalism is the default condition, and property rights would still end up being enforced, because the rich would hire their own police force to protect themselves and their property. At least we have a government, and it has a monopoly on the use of force.

Without a central government there would be no central currency and the means for exchange would be totally different. Pat of the capitalist structure we built uses the currency itself as a means of maintaining power and control. See: wealth redistribution around economic crisis.

Well, history gives us tons of examples of what happens when central currency collapses, and in full devaluations the fewer people with more immediate access to goods, collaborating associates, and weapons, are able to establish gangs, mafias, militias, or organizations that in the vast majority of cases are hierarchal in nature, eventually forming in service around a boss, often in a paradigm driven by cult of personality. Thus true anarchy is a fragile and usually short lived situation, with power vacuums soon filled with competing micro-governments, of which usually one then coallesces to take a monopoly of force over a specific region.

I spent a lot of time around gangs and they’re not super keen on property rights. infact most of the organizing bodys you mentioned are not… How would the rich people hire militias, what resources are they exchanging for the services. None of this works without a currency, the default state is bartering, exchanging goods and services, we just let a piece of paper represent the value. What value do “rich people” hold without currency? What property rights do they have if they cannot present value to have them protected. Your gonna give me some food and gold to protect your property? what if i just take it and the food and the gold? The power is all in the currency.
