It’s pretty whiny to downvote someone who’s clarifying a misleading article.
Yeah, it’s only slightly annoying because I rarely look at settings and when I do it takes a microsecond to scroll that tiny extra bit past the single line item.
There are a million other things in the world to get bent out of shape about. This is an utterly ridiculous hill to die on.

I was just surprised that was your standard, not whining.
But if you want to call the article “misleading” and “utterly ridiculous” to criticize them, then that’s over the threshold from odd opinion to bad prescription
