Because closing the studio you hand picked to carry the franchise that use to set retail sales records more explicitly says “we shit the bed” to the community and more importantly(to them), shareholders.

That makes sense, as I was thinking about it I realized that Infinite is still ongoing so they need to keep a barebones team around for support of that. But honestly I hope it goes away. Is so pretentious and cringe having a game studio named after the game series.
