nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 6 days agoJust saw Gorillaz last night and most of those things were the same experience, but then his melodica broke he chucked it over his shoulder, then the backup one didn’t work and he disappeared for the rest of song while the the guitarist kinda took over and encourages everyone to sing to fill in until Del’s part.
It works out and he was back for the next song, but kinda had a temper tantrumy vibe.

Apparently he has self-identified as being on the autism spectrum. From what I have gathered of his historical personality along with some of his, uh, dance moves when he is clearly just fucking loving the sounds of what he has brought together, I can see how that actually would explain quite a bit. Doesn’t necessarily excuse the behaviors of his past, but definitely adds perspective.
