    Looking through the list it sounds like folks are simultaneously upset that they have a non-interventionist policy and also that they do intervene in extreme cases.

    Not an enviable position. I guess the answer is to strictly define and follow a policy setting when a situation escalates to the point they will intervene.

      People think that if Cloudflare caved and started removing content, it’d be the right wing stuff and not the LGBT stuff, which seems preeetty naive.

  What the fuck? This is a reoccurring thing where Lemmy (and the fediverse as a whole) is niche enough towards a basic level of tech literacy and knowledge where comments like this just shouldn’t be possible but comments like yours are oddly common. I’ve realised many who are here haven’t found it via being sick of the enshittifying of the main stream internet but you’re here because you were probably banned everywhere else, it’s the only thing that makes sense.
  There’s just no way you’re completely ignorant about this while somehow having the intelligence and knowledge to be here.
  Every time I see a comment like yours here I just go “oh no, this person must be real fucked to have been forced to find this place because everywhere else has banned them.”
