That’s cause we don’t, the only time I’ve ever heard this mushroom fud come up is from non-vegans. “Did you know that grass screams when you cut it?”-tier territory.

  I think you misunderstand me, I’m comparing the mushroom claim to an equally silly claim that often rears it’s head in these discussions, not saying it happened here.

    No I understand. I don’t think anyone is implying that because mushrooms aren’t plants that it makes veganism bullshit. My response came from a place of me wishing things like that could be discussed without the black and white thinking. I haven’t heard anyone discuss that. And I have a feeling the knee jerk reaction would normally be defensive.
