Comment on Does the make a wish foundation really grant every wish? Or at least try to? Like if a 10 year old wanted to see Taylor Swift naked in person would they at least contact Swift or her Reps to do it?

The make a wish foundation reaches out to others to try to fulfill the wish as long as it is legal and approved by the parents. When it can’t be fulfilled fully, they try to honor the spirit of the wish (for instance, if you want to go to space, they will probably end up helping you meet an astronaut and try a simulator with them or something).

Bringing your example down to reality, let’s say a 10 year old wants to go on a date with Taylor Swift. They would contact her team and explain that the 10 year old wants to meet her, has a crush, and asked for a date. If she’s comfortable with it, they might stage a cute interaction where she has a meal at the hospital bed with a candle and a flower, or maybe a scenario where the kid gives her a valentines card. Photo op, big hug, the wish is now over.

I want to be abundantly clear that there is no circumstance in any timeline where a 10 year old is clapping those cheeks at the end of their terminal disease wish.
