666dollarfootlong@lemmy.world 17 hours agoNah, it was really quite serious actually, the area around the bite started yellowing under my skin, the whole area got swollen and the pain was numbing. I was prescribed 7 days of anti-biotics but I probably should have had it extended for a few days as the pain hadn’t gone away and the skin was still yellow. Its all good now, fortunately

I’m confused as to why you don’t think you had an infectious disease based on that.

No, I knew then later that I had an infection. That appeared maybe 3 hours after the bite. What I tried to say initially was that my immediate reaction to the bite wasn’t disinfection, instead I put on a tourniquet and applied pressure on the dirty bleeding wound
