It’s more like it costs more money than that to allow someone to be homeless, since they’ll be more likely to use emergency services and such

Permanently house and feed someone? $16,000 seems quite a bit too low. That might cover food alone I would imagine, depending on the person’s age. More so if it’s like a 30 year old less so if they are 60.

Yeah $16k annually sounds about right. But they say “permanently” which I read as $16k total not annually.

Checked for France, cost goes between 12k€ to 17k€ per year. It works includes housing, food, management.

Yes that is annually but post says “permanently” which I take to mean for multiple years not annually.
