I’m still not following. Most non-tub showers look exactly like OP’s picture except they have a sliding/swinging door.
What do you mean by elevated threshold? You mean that small ~3inch lip that is also present in OP’s picture?

Ah I see the confusion.
The walk in shower in my old appartment had no lip, and my current appartment has a 30cm lip.
i assumed all walk in showers were without the lip but it seems I was wrong.
