Yeah, tbh the whole point of Lemmy, which is a thread centered platform AKA: a lotta of conversations, totally go fuck itself with bots…
Comment on you know what's mildly infuriating? a reposter bot

I’ve been conflicted about Sanitation for a while.
On one hand, it’s more content. I open Lemmy, and I see a dozen articles that wouldn’t be there otherwise. Sometimes they interest me, and I read them. In that case, I suppose I should appreciate that it was shared at all
But on the other hand, all those posts rarely turn into conversations. Sanitation isn’t hanging around to talk about what they found, they’re already looking for the next batch of posts to steal. I’ve put a tag on them, so even if I do end up reading one of their posts, I avoid commenting. At worst, I’m talking to a robot, or at best, I’m just yelling into the void.

It also is the only source of content for c/shittymoviedetails but those tend to be hit or miss with a bit more misses.

They just posted an AI slop image of cats in a PC tower masquerading as a personal post of something that really happened. That was enough to convince me to block.

Yeah. Leaving other people’s posts in first person definitely makes it feel much dirtier.

“The meow technician on duty” - is a post in question.
Nowhere does it claim that its my personal post.
