Cage gives 100% whether the role needs it or not and that’s why I love him.

Cage, on the other hand, I don’t think I have ever seen that man not give a role his all.

Sidenote: I think Face Off is a perfect embodiment of this sentiment. An objectively terrible movie with a monumentally dumb premise, and his acting is what takes it from unwatchable to downright fun.
