Comment on Those moutains are so quaint
agent_nycto@lemmy.world 4 days agoYou’ve… Never heard of black people using the N word as a way of cultural self empowerment before. Fascinating. So why do you think people can’t reclaim slurs? How do you feel about LGBT+ people using “queer” and so on?

My girlfriend is black you literal trog - she and her entire family are against using it because 1) it’s ugly and 2) it makes the person using it on ignorant.
Exactly the same for words like queer, though in this context you’re looking for the F slur - which you 100% should never use, period.

What an interesting take. I’ll just assume you’re white since you feel like you can tell minorites what to say and do. Turnabout and all that.
It’s interesting that someone who’s so bigoted is against slurs. Like, the big reason slurs are bad is because it helps start, promote, and continue bigotry, but you’ve already gotten to the end result, but you’re against some of the basics.
Absolutely unhinged but fascinating.

Half white, half native American.
Yeah, I’m not bigoted - I just don’t have social media brain rot. You do, because you clearly haven’t put together that reclaiming slurs doesn’t do anything other than keep them alive.

Right, says the person who hates on people for where they live and all the reasons I mentioned previously that you’re a bigot. Like the whole religion thing and all. Making assumptions based on race. Et cetera. You got a laundry list of bigoted stances and I just have been talking with you in the comments. I wonder how much shows IRL.
