Take the billions and start fixing problems? Or are you worried that it wouldn’t work out in the end, and instead make everything worse?

$19 because fuck capitalism. Seriously, billions of dollars means that you are hogging billions that could be spent on feeding the poor. I say this as a person who just stopped living in a homeless shelter less than a month ago.

I’ve actually thought about what I’d do with billions. Free high-speed internet for the entire populated world is one of my goals.
On one hand, I’m terrified that suddenly acquiring billions would poison my mind. Even though Bill Gates has done some good stuff with his foundation, he still has biases and because he’s that rich, they’re all amplified for all to see. (His gains are also still ill-gotten.) Bios on Elon Musk have observed he’s gotten progressively worse, and more unhinged over time.
On the other hand, Demonetized, a small sister project to How Money Works did a bit on why billionaires are so crazy (on YouTube), and he points out that we’re used to seeing the dicks out in the open, like Zuckerberg, Bezos and Musk.

You dumdum could spend 6.999 billions to help others and live well of the rest 🤷🏻

Then take the 7 billion tomorrow, keep $19, , donate the rest to homeless shelters and food banks, and stop being a curmudgeon.

Im ngl this is incredibly dumb.
Take the billion, spend the billion. The problem with billionaires is that you must commit terrible acts of violence (human rights violations are violence) to get the billion dollars
In this case you literally just get it. Its a moral billion dollars. Spend on hookers, blow, and public schools (preferably in the opposite order) until you get to about 10 million left and the guillotines are still in storage.

Or donate it for good causes. Honestly spending a billion dollars (let alone 7) is really hard, if you’re not buying companies or land. It’s just that an obscene amount of money.

Exactly. Spending a million every quarter on your local charities/funding public improvement projects/cleaning up public areas/providing public transport funds would do wonders for improving crime rates and improving quality of life around you.
Now repeat for 100x cities. A 7 billionaire can absolutely throw away ~500 million dollars a quarter, live extremely well off 10 million, and pay a guy to invest the rest so you can continue philanthropy.
