Comment on Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons Officially Have A Pay-To-Press Button
ModernRisk@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 days agoJust don’t give Nintendo money and ignore their current games
Why should we? We can enjoy the games and ignore Nintendo’s console. Why should we? We can enjoy the games and ignore Nintendo’s console. Why should we stop enjoying something that we like?
It’s a major hipocrisy to damn them and then go that route (for current still being sold games, I am not talking about retro or even Nintendo online!).
And why is is hypocrisy for still wanting to play these games, enjoying them and emulating them? Most what you read is people complaining (or as you call it ‘‘damn them’’) about the prices point, Nintendo’s behavior and their policies. The exclusive games are pretty great and that shows with the fan-base and the amount of people emulating them. If the prices were decent, they had normal behavior and policies. More people would’ve bought the console and less likely to emulate.
But Nintendo decided to be one of the greedy and ‘evil’ ones. I mean, they went after Palworld, emulation makers and random people for ‘naming their supermarket Super Mario’: Nintendo Loses ‘Super Mario’ Trademark Fight With Grocery Store. They could’ve just collaborated with the supermarket and enjoy the double marketing but no.
Your comment just sounds that you do not like people who emulate because ‘‘these people complain about something valid, refuse to pay money but still enjoying gaming’’.

Well of course you can, as some are doing. The point being you can hardly complain of being treated bad if you freely choose rules and morale on your own, why shouldn’t the other side too? It’s a morality thing.
‘I’m behaving like an ass, but they’re not allowed to’.
I still agree thst Nintendo took a few bad turns and that corporations are inherently evil.
And lastly, if you refuse to pay you should morally drive the point home by refusing the product. It makes sense and hits harder on multiple levels commercially instead of adding to the hype and everything by still using it. Nevermind the legality.
